Shanghai Residences are exclusive serviced residences located within the heart of the former French Concession area of Shanghai. Shanghai Residences were created to fill a void in Shanghai; they are the first and only short-term apartments or suites which provide an authentic experience of Shanghai by providing high-quality residences in genuine 1920s and 1930s villas and townhouses.
Much of the interior achitecture of Shanghai Residences was preserved in order to maintain the authenticity of the suites. Refurbished high-quality genuine old wood floor was brought in from Hangzhou, especially for the Shanghai Residences. Authentic desks and tables were selected to furnish the suites, as well as high quality replica furniture, built to match the overall decor.
The Shanghai Residences garden was inspired by Shanghai's famous Yu Yuan Gardens. The garden is encircled by Chinese bamboo trees, giving it an Asian feeling and enhancing the privacy of the garden. The garden contains an Asian-style water fountain, adding a watery-sound to the garden and enhancing the feng-shui of Shanghai Residences.
